August 2026 Newsletter

As we turn the calendar to August, we find ourselves in that in-between season. The excitement of summer vacations begins to fade, the Texas heat reminds us that it still has plenty to say, and many families start preparing for the return of school and the routines of everyday life. It’s easy during these transitions to focus only on what comes next. Yet Scripture gently reminds us that God is just as present in the ordinary days as in the extraordinary ones. The quiet moments of August are opportunities to pause, notice God's blessings, and give thanks for the many ways Christ continues to work in our lives, our families, and our parish.

Here at St. Matthias, we have much to celebrate as we continue growing together in faith and fellowship. Whether you are joining us for Sunday or Wednesday worship, Bible study, community outreach, or simply sharing coffee and conversation after the service, you are an important part of what God is doing in this little corner of His kingdom. Thank you for the many ways you serve one another with generous hearts. As we move into this new month, may we continue to be a church that welcomes all, shares Christ's love freely, and remembers that even the smallest acts of kindness can become seeds of God's kingdom, growing far beyond what we can imagine. May God bless you and your family throughout this August.
