There are many Episcopal Churches in the USA that have comfort dog ministries. They can provide a soothing presence to those suffering and in need. They calm individuals, facilitate conversation, with special needs individuals, veterans, elderly, children, homeless, and more. Luna, our St. Matthias comfort dog will begin her training very soon. She’s a 9-month-old Lhaspsapoo (9 lbs.) and won’t get much bigger than she is right now. She’ll be trained to provide love and affection to those in need. We are very excited to offer this new ministry. We’ll keep you updated on her training progress.
Water, water everywhere! Oh No! When I arrived at the church on the 19 of July, I saw a broken water pipe under the Parish Hall. The lawn behind the Parish Hall was flooded. I was able to get a plumber to fix an elbow joint that came apart. I’m not sure how many gallons leaked or what our water bill will be like but praise the Lord, at least the inside of the building was spared.
