I pray everyone is well at the start of this Lenten season, a time for reflection, penitence, and fasting. The journey through Lent into Easter is a journey with Jesus. We are baptized into his life, self-giving, and death; then, we rise in hope to life transformed. This Lent, everyone is invited to walk with Jesus in his Way of Love and into the experience of transformed life. Together, we will walk through the depths of salvation history into the fullness of redemption.

We had a very tasty pancake brunch, held a community Ashes to Go and Ash Wednesday service. The highlight last month was the election of our Bishop Coadjutor (Bishop elect). Karen and Joe represented St. Matthias as our delegates for the annual Diocesan Council in Corpus Christi. Fr. Dexter gave the Small Church Ministry report and rallied the small churches to come together for One Voice at the small church dinner. There are 56 small churches out of a total of 86 churches in the Diocese. St. Matthias, leading the way in our community, the Diocese, and in the Episcopal Church.
